Halting the march towards Asthma.
About Little Lungs
Picture a scenario where the ability to forecast a child’s likelihood of developing asthma is predicted soon after birth
During this period when their immune system can be effectively reprogrammed. This will enable parents to be proactive and take steps to promote the development of a healthy immune system in their child, which in turn will reduce the risk of asthma and potentially avoid disease transition.
We have scanned the research literature around the world, to make asthma related health information accessible and actionable. Our First Breath™ The Little Lungs Book outlines how you can best manage asthma with proactive lifestyle choices that help you combat and manage any setbacks or challenges in daily life.
Research to better understand Asthma.
Our First Breath™ team is made up of a group of scientists and clinicians from within the asthma research centres of excellence. We are passionate about making asthma related health information accessible and actionable, and in supporting research around asthma.
We have been asked many times, “is asthma genetic”, or “is asthma hereditary”, or “is asthma familial”. The answer is, there are elements of genetics and elements of microenvironment and macroenvironment involved. It’s complicated. So, to simplify it, we thought we would write a book.
The Little Lungs Book
Our Little Lungs Book provides information to families that can be implemented prior to the birth of the child, on what the parents can do in the first years of life (once the child is born), to build a strong immune system and minimise disease risk.
We are passionate about creating a better future for people affected by asthma. By buying our Little Lungs book, you are supporting our efforts.
